These are some of the dive areas we often visit for fun diving trips and courses. The final dive location is chosen by our instructors based on each diver’s level, interests, weather, wind, currents, and overall safety conditions.
This helps us choose the best possible dive site for the day, while making sure every diver can enjoy the experience safely and comfortably.
1. Jogashima Island
General Depth: Approx. 5–30m, depending on the dive site
Recommended For: Beginners to Advanced Divers
Destination: Located off the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula, Jogashima offers a great mix of calm beach diving and deeper boat dive sites. It is a versatile location where newer divers can build confidence, while experienced divers can enjoy richer underwater terrain and seasonal marine life.

2. Atami
General Depth: Approx. 10–35m, depending on the dive site
Recommended For: Intermediate to Advanced Divers
Destination: Located on the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, Atami is one of Japan’s most exciting dive destinations, known for its dramatic boat dives, soft coral, and underwater terrain. Its standout attraction is the Asahi Maru shipwreck, a large wreck resting in deeper water that has become home to colorful marine life and schools of fish.
Highlights: The Asahi Maru shipwreck, boat diving, soft coral, deeper underwater scenery, and seasonal cavern diving.
3. Ito "Shark City"
General Depth: Approx. 16–24m
Recommended For: Intermediate to Advanced Divers
Destination: Located off the coast of Tateyama in Chiba, Ito Shark City is one of Japan’s most unforgettable dive experiences. Divers can encounter large numbers of banded houndsharks, rays, and other impressive marine life gathering at close range in the famous Shark Scramble area.
Highlights: Shark Scramble, banded houndsharks, red stingrays, large groupers, schooling fish, and exciting boat diving.
4. Enoura
General Depth: Approx. 5–16m
Recommended For: Beginners to Intermediate Divers
Destination: Located near the entrance to the Izu Peninsula, Enoura is a relaxed and accessible shore diving area, making it a great choice for newer divers and easygoing fun dives. With gentle underwater terrain, guide ropes, and a variety of marine life, it offers a comfortable yet rewarding diving experience close to Tokyo.
Highlights: Beginner-friendly shore diving, calm conditions, varied marine life, guide ropes, and the famous underwater Doraemon statue.
5. Hirasawa
General Depth: Approx. 5–23m
Recommended For: Beginners to Intermediate Divers
Destination: Located on the western side of the Izu Peninsula, Hirasawa is a calm and comfortable diving area with easy shore entries and consistently sheltered conditions. It is especially welcoming for newer divers, while still offering enjoyable marine life, seasonal schools of fish, and a relaxed underwater experience.

6. Ito Usami
General Depth: Approx. 5–40m, depending on the dive site and diver level
Recommended For: Beginners to Advanced Divers
Destination: Located on the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, Usami offers a great mix of relaxed beach diving and more adventurous deeper dives. It is known for its unique underwater scenery, including old submerged railway tracks, as well as popular marine life encounters such as Japanese bullhead sharks.
Highlights: Beach and boat diving, underwater railway tracks, Japanese bullhead sharks, soft coral, and a wide range of dive options for different experience levels.
7. Osezaki
General Depth: Approx. 5–40m, depending on the dive area
Recommended For: Beginners to Advanced Divers
Destination: Located on the edge of Suruga Bay in western Izu, Osezaki is one of Japan’s most well-known and versatile diving areas. Its calm bay is excellent for newer divers, while deeper sites and rich biodiversity make it just as rewarding for experienced divers and underwater photographers.
Highlights: Calm beach diving, beginner-friendly conditions, rich marine life, macro photography, deeper dive options, and beautiful views of Mt. Fuji on clear days.
8. Shishihama
General Depth: Approx. 5–40m
Recommended For: Beginners to Advanced Divers
Destination: Located in western Izu, Shishihama offers easy shore access with a shallow training-friendly area that quickly slopes into deeper water. It is a versatile dive site suited to newer divers, experienced divers, and those looking to enjoy dynamic depth changes in a single location.
Highlights: Easy beach entry, shallow beginner area, deeper sloping terrain, year-round night diving, and underwater features such as the famous “Mouth of Truth.”
9. Iwa
General Depth: Approx. 5–40m, depending on the dive site
Recommended For: Beginners to Advanced Divers
Destination: Located between Odawara and Atami, Iwa offers both relaxed beach diving and a variety of boat dive sites. Its shallower areas are great for newer divers, while the boat points provide more depth, varied terrain, and the chance to enjoy both schooling fish and smaller macro life.

10. Mikomoto Island
General Depth: Approx. 10–35m, depending on the dive site
Recommended For: Advanced Divers
Destination: Off the southern tip of the Izu Peninsula, Mikomoto Island is one of Japan’s most thrilling dive destinations and is famous for encounters with schools of hammerhead sharks. Strong currents and open-ocean conditions make this an exciting site for experienced divers looking for a truly unforgettable adventure.
Highlights: Hammerhead sharks, big fish encounters, open-ocean drift diving, strong currents, and one of Japan’s most iconic advanced dive experiences.
11. Shobuzawa
General Depth: Approx. 5–24m, depending on the dive site
Recommended For: Beginners to Intermediate Divers
Destination: On the southeastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, Shobuzawa offers relaxed beach diving as well as an exciting boat dive to a sunken wreck. The wreck rests on a white sandy bottom and is often surrounded by schools of fish, making it one of the area’s standout attractions.

12. Tago
General Depth: Approx. 5–40m, depending on the dive site
Recommended For: Beginners to Advanced Divers
Destination: On the western coast of the Izu Peninsula, Tago offers an impressive variety of diving, from calm bay sites to dynamic offshore boat dives. It is especially known for Futone, a dramatic reef surrounded by large schools of fish and beautiful soft coral.

13. Yawatano
General Depth: Approx. 5–25m
Recommended For: Beginners to Intermediate Divers
Destination: On the eastern side of the Izu Peninsula, Yawatano is a popular diving area known for its relaxed shore dives and rich variety of small marine life. It is especially enjoyable for underwater photography, with chances to find frogfish, nudibranchs, lumpfish, and other colorful critters.

14. Ita
General Depth: Approx. 5–35m

Destination: On the western coast of the Izu Peninsula, Ita is known for its beautifully clear “Ita Blue” water and rich marine life. With a gently sloping beach that leads into deeper areas, it offers enjoyable diving for a wide range of experience levels and is especially popular with underwater photographers.

15. Inatori

Destination: On the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula, Inatori offers calm, relaxed beach diving with easygoing underwater routes. It’s a comfortable site for newer divers, with chances to encounter seasonal marine life such as bullhead sharks, sea turtles, and eagle rays.
