PADI Discover Scuba Diving
Take Your First Breath Underwater.
Curious about scuba diving but not ready to commit to a full certification course? PADI Discover Scuba Diving is a one-day experience that lets you try scuba diving for the first time with the close support of a PADI Instructor.
No diving licence or previous scuba experience is required. You can choose a relaxed pool experience, guided beach dives in the ocean, or a combination of both. Everything is explained clearly in English, and your instructor will stay with you throughout the experience.
Discover Scuba Diving is not a certification course, but it is the perfect first step if you want to find out whether scuba diving is right for you.

You can learn about these and more in the PADI Discover Scuba Diving eLearning which can be done on a smartphone, tablet, or computer before your dive day.

Your instructor will help you put on your scuba equipment and make sure everything fits correctly. You will begin in water shallow enough to stand and practise essential skills at a relaxed pace.
Skills may include:

Breathing through a regulator
-
Inflating and deflating your buoyancy control device
-
Equalizing your ears

Daily Schedules (How everything works):
Step 1 — Application
Click the Apply Now button and complete the application form. We will review your information, confirm availability, and explain the next steps.
Step 2 — Learning and Paperwork
Your eLearning will be sent once the application is approved. We will arrange access so you can complete it before the experience.
All participants must complete the required liability, safety, and medical forms before entering the water. If your medical questionnaire indicates that physician approval is required, the signed approval must be provided before your diving experience day.
Step 3 — Discover Scuba Day
We will pick you up at the agreed-upon location and travel together to the pool or dive site. For ocean days, we will make a few convenience-store stops along the way so you can purchase food and drinks.
After arriving, your instructor will show you the facilities, help you prepare your equipment, review the essential knowledge, and practise the required skills with you in shallow water. Once you are comfortable, the underwater experience begins.
For two- and three-dive ocean experiences, you will have suitable surface intervals between dives to rest, warm up, eat, and rehydrate.
Step 4 — Return to Tokyo
After the experience, we will rinse and pack the equipment before returning to the original meeting location. Return times vary depending on the venue, traffic, and the number of dives selected.
Congratulations - You Took Your First Breath Underwater!
After completing the experience, Divers Frontiers will register your participation with PADI.
